Mother of God, Milk of Magnesia is some of the most awful stuff on this Earth.  but let me tell you, that stuff gets the job done. also, PROTIP: if you are naturally skinny/underweight like me, DO NOT take the full dosage. Cut the dosage in half. You do not want to make the same mistake that I did.

TMI TIME! “ヽ(´▽`)ノ”
So apparently Miralax is super popular in the Eating Disorder community.  I was searching the tag, trying to find user opinions for this product, and all I am finding is eating disorder related stuff.  In order to save you all from reading too much about me, I have had IBS since I was a baby. My mom is a Registered Nurse and keeps telling me to take Miralax. I have tried it before, and had a...

emeto-things: Here’s the thing. Our thoughts are so powerful that we can trick ourselves into feeling sick. We hear a voice saying, “This is it. It’s going to happen. This is real. It’s going to happen and there’s nothing you can do to stop it.” We hear this voice and we panic. We go outside for fresh air and…

serenitae asked: I was going through the emetophobe tag and saw your post about emetophobes being misdiagnosed as anorexic, which happens to me ALL THE TIME! Not necessarily by doctors more by other people. I've had different people in my grade and even teachers ask me if I were anorexic.

wow, I cannot believe that tumblr is still allowing blog posts with pro-ana and pro-bulimia tags. And there are certain blogs that are now hiding behind more vague search terms such as “purge”, “fast” , “skinny”. Also, while I am on this topic, I have always wondered why there is no specific eating disorder term for emetaphobics who starve themselves so they...

So I was on the phone with my mom yesterday, she asked how I was feeling after my little fiasco the other night, and I somehow ended up on the topic of this blog. I told her about how I planned to just post stuff I have been through, and how I have come so far from when I started to have this phobia. I also mentioned how I have been getting messages from other people who have been through the...

pledistiant asked: I just saw a couple of your posts on the 'emetophobia' tag and I know this is random and slightly pointless since you don't know me, but oh my gosh! I've only known a handful of people with this phobia, but never have I known of anyone who used the same "If I don't eat, I can't throw up" logic that I used to. For some reason it's really relieving to...

Anonymous asked: I seen your post under the emet tag, I to got accused of having an eating disorder/bulimia, I did nearly get admitted but refused to go. I am also naturally thin which I hate and does not help! Im also *nearly* recovered from emetophobia so its weird how I could relate to your post so much! Its ridiculous how there will be many people to come with emetophobia to get accused of having an eating...

YAAAAAY, my IBS flared up last night, and as a result, I laid on my bathroom floor for a full hour because I was like, pre-dry heaving, lol. Haha, I know I wasn’t *sick* because I was absolutely fine prior to this, and was actually making mac and cheese.  But ya know what? I actually handled it REALLY well. O___o I never actually threw up, and the wretching stopped after like 2-3 minutes....

LOL the irony of it all
Fellow emetophobes: I am curious to know, have any of your ever been accused of having an eating disorder?  When i first developed this disorder, I was 10 years old, and decided “oh hay! I will just stop eating! That way I cannot throw up!” well, this resulted in me being admitted to the hospital. While there, I was bombarded by doctors and shrinks who thought I was either bulimic...

i-feelfree: I feel like so many people who have emetophobia, or any other disorder eventually end up dwelling on the negative side of things. Thoughts and Stuff
I’ve mysteriously gained two new followers, even though I really have yet to make any big blog posts.  As of lately, my emetophobia has been substantially better. It is very strange to feel so different about things. Last fall was horrible though, and the combined stress of school, and life events seems to magnify my phobia. But even with last fall being crappy, I still feel like I am...

ADMIN Introduction
I am a recovering Emetophobe who has struggled with this phobia since around the age of 10. I am 26 years old now, and feel like I could share my experiences, knowledge, and positive thinking with those who are also struggling with this phobia.
